This study examines the reconstruction of meaning and style in the Arabic subtitles of the Indonesian film Ayat-Ayat Cinta on Netflix. Using a descriptive qualitative approach with product-oriented translation analysis, data were collected purposively from selected Indonesian–Arabic subtitle pairs. Three analytical procedures are integrated: stylistic analysis (ʿilm al-uslūb) to examine lexical variation and expressive effects, semantic analysis (ʿilm al-dilālah) to trace lexical meaning shifts, and rhetorical analysis (ʿilm al-bayān) to identify tasybih and istiʿarah. Findings show that lexical variation follows the ikhtiyār al-lafẓ principle; semantic shifts follow register-based logic, narrowing meaning in pragmatic contexts while deepening theological content in religious utterances; and bayān devices emerge in ways consistent with Arabic's inherent rhetorical orientation, suggesting that the translator's choices, whether deliberate or intuitive, align with classical Arabic expressive norms. These findings demonstrate that Arabic subtitle translation requires both modern translation studies frameworks and classical Arabic rhetorical tradition as complementary analytical instruments.
